Background

School Site Solutions, Inc. was founded in 2003, by James F. Bush, the former Assistant Director of the California Department of Education's (CDE) School Facilities Planning Division, and C. John Dominguez, former CDE Facilities Field Consultant and teacher.

We are a school facilities consulting firm specializing in providing personalized and expert advice in the identification, approval, and acquisition of new K-12 school sites. We have steadily expanded our services to include educational and facility master planning, educational specifications, and school closures. Our broad-based knowledge and teamwork, and overall dedication serving the needs of our clients and California's school children have earned us the respect of the industry. We pride ourselves in providing services, solving difficult and time sensitive problems and accomplishing the goals of the client. We are a full service firm with the talent and knowledge to provide our clients with premium service.

C. John Dominguez
President

John Dominguez

Prior to establishing School Site Solutions, Inc. in 2003, John served as a Field Consultant for the California Department of Education, School Facilities Planning Division (SFPD). In this capacity, he assisted school districts throughout California in assessing site constraints and obtaining the approval of proposed school sites and for site certification for CDE plan approval. In addition, John administered the Qualified Zone Academy Bond (QZAB) program after its implementation for all of California. He also headed up the Joint Use program as part of his duties while at the SFPD.

A former government, economics teacher, Director of Facilities and General Obligation Bond Director, John is the President of School Site Solutions, Inc., the Vice Chair of Californians for School Facilities, and teaches the CASH Academy and UC Riverside Extension course program.



James Bombaci

James Bombaci

James (Jim) Bombaci has worked in Public Works Facilities for over 38 years. For the past eight years, Jim worked as the Director of Facilities for the Gilroy Unified School District completing 82 Facilities projects totaling over 250 Million dollars.

Jim has a Bachelor in Business Management from Saint Mary's College, and a Masters degree in Public Information from San Jose State University.

Jim also has a Design Build Institute of America Associate certificate and a Project/Program Management certificate form U.C. Santa Cruz. He has worked in all aspects of construction, including both building and infrastructure.

Jim enjoys most sports, particularly fishing and hunting.

I am a recently retired Director of Maintenance Operations and Transportation (MOT) with over 30 years of experience in school facilities.

I have been married 46 years and have 2 great kids and 4 awesome grandkids. I love to read, cook, and sew.
