California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Compliance

Work with the LEA and Project Architect to develop a comprehensive project description for analysis. If appropriate, complete and file a Notice of Exemption with appropriate exemption criteria; otherwise, complete the Initial Study checklist and accompanying analysis pursuant to CEQA Guidelines. Facilitate coordination with local agencies regarding potential environmental impacts and/or mitigation measures. Identify and coordinate appropriate subconsultants as needed for specialized studies (e.g., Traffic Impact Analysis). Coordinate the public and agency review of the Draft CEQA document and file the Notice of Completion. Prepare a comprehensive response in the Final CEQA document for adoption. Prepare Board packets and all resolutions necessary for CEQA adoption according to CDE standards. Prepare and file the Notice of Determination for project close-out. Coordinate community outreach meetings as appropriate.
